FAQ

1)    What are the school hours for students?  

         Monday to Friday: 7.40 a.m. to 1.50 p.m.  
         Students are to report to school by 7.25 a.m. Flag-raising commences at 7.30 a.m. and lessons start at 7.40 a.m.  

 2)    What are the operating hours of the General Office?  

          During School Term Mondays to Fridays 7.00 a.m. to 5.30 p.m.  
          During School Holidays Mondays to Fridays 8.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.
          The General Office is closed on Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays.    

 3)    What are the recess times?               

          P1 to P3: 9.40 a.m. to 10.10 a.m.              
          P4 to P6: 10.10 a.m. to 10.40 a.m.  

 4)    What are the opening hours of the school gates?    

          Main gate facing Woodlands Centre Road:
          6.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m.  
           
          Side gate (3) facing Blk 156, Woodlands Street 13:
          6.00 a.m. to  7.30 a.m.
          1.50 p.m to  2.20 p.m.
          3.50 p.m.  to 4.20 p.m
          5.20 p.m.  to 5.50 p.m  

          Side gate (4) facing Blk 156, Woodlands Street 13:
          1.50 p.m to  2.00 p.m.
          (Gate will not be opened during inclement weather.)

5)     How do I communicate with my child in case of an emergency?              

          In case of any emergency, please call the School office at Tel: 6269 6193 with your message. We will ensure that it is communicated            to your child.

6)     How can I communicate with my child’s teachers?    

a)   You may e-mail the teachers. Their e-mail addresses are available on our school website at  https://marsilingpri.moe.edu.sg/the-mps-family/ft-co-ft-list/.  

b)   You may write to the School via the school’s email at marsiling_ps@moe.edu.sg               

c)    You may call the General Office at Tel: 6269 6193 to leave a message. However, please do understand that teachers may be teaching
         at the time you are calling and may not be able to return your call immediately.

d) You may also make use of your child’s Student Handbook to communicate through handwritten notes.

7)     What must I do if I need to bring my child/ward home early?                         

          Students will only be allowed to leave the school premises early if accompanied by an authorised adult. The adult fetching the child
          must report to the General Office and fill in the necessary form(s) before fetching the child and leaving the school compound.
          Please do inform the Form Teacher in advance if you know that you need to fetch your child/ward early. Students are NOT allowed
          to leave the school on their own even if they have valid reasons to do so.
